Genesis 1:27 says I was made in His image.
I’m an extroverted introvert (more parts introvert) who values solitude and quality time. I am a self-proclaimed minimalist who collects bees, bunnies, coffee cups, tea towels, books, and octopus ornaments for one of my three Christmas trees. A logical perfectionist with a free spirit. A composed counselor with an overwhelming spectrum of emotions. A helper, peacemaker, and self-reflection junky. An empathetic soul with high expectations for excellence. An overachieving, list-loving procrastinator. And a homebody wanting to explore a great, big world!
My husband Eric’s Turtledove and fur mama to my two boxer babies, Meg and Minnie. The oldest sister to the best two younger sisters. I value relationships, connection, and meeting people where they are in life. And above all, I am a child of God who loves His son Jesus!
“You don’t understand now what I’m doing, but someday you will.” John 13:7
If you created a timeline of my life, you would see that God always meant things to work together for my good despite adverse experiences I may have faced. You would see how all the things intended for sadness helped create a future of hope and purpose. God’s love and protection were written into my story, and I believe that same love is written into yours too.
My story began with God’s love and protection for me as a child born to teenage parents. A childhood impressed by abandonment, divorce, and mental illness, He served as protector, father, and friend. And despite how my circumstances may have ever appeared, He continued to build a supernatural hedge of protection around my life into young adulthood. Love and protection through a decade of loss- a decade of weeping over infertility and pregnancy loss, the loss of a business partnership, a planned adoption, a marriage, and the loss of a mother too soon. But because of His unwavering love, I found the strength to break down walls, barriers, and generational curses. And even when His answer has been “no,” I’ve heard a consistent voice behind me saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”.
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing, some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2
My timeline isn’t over, and our season together is just beginning. Through the gifts of freedom, patience, and purpose, I have been called to meet you here. I pray you stay awhile to see just how uniquely Gift of Three will use the past, present, and future to bring us all the gifts Jesus means for us to receive.
